A creative and enthusiastic individual is required to join the Music and Music Technology (MMT) subject area at the University of Huddersfield as Lecturer in Popular Music Performance. This position offers the opportunity to join a well-established team in a subject area with a long history of academic excellence.
The advertised position is for a half-time appointment. The 0.5 nature of the post is specifically to allow the successful candidate the ability to continue with professional practice alongside the role.
The post holder will form part of a dynamic team, which focuses on innovative performance practice and supports the growing shift towards a more diverse community of undergraduate students.
You should have appropriate professional and teaching experience in higher education. Essential is a strong awareness of your subject and enthusiasm to bring understanding of this practice into your teaching.
You should have a PhD qualification (or nearing completion) in Music or a related discipline. You should also have a track record of research or clearly show the potential to contribute to research culture, especially given MMT continues to perform highly in this area.
