Das Jahrbuch "Weltmusik und ihre Kritik: Postkoloniale Zugänge zu globaler Musik" greift mit dem problematischen Begriff der "Weltmusik" die gegenwärtigen Debatten um die Dekolonialisierung von Musik auf. Es widmet sich dem eurozentristischen Status quo von Weltmusik als Teil globaler Musikpraktiken und zeigt die vielfältigen Abhängigkeiten zwischen der global majority und dem globalen Norden auf. Neben Forscherinnen kommen auch Komponisten, Musikerinnen und Kuratoren der globalen Musik in Form von Berichten und Interviews zu Wort.
