The *Institutes of Popular Music* of both Rochester and Liverpool together with the *Society for Music
Analysis* are pleased to announce their third Summer School dedicated to popular
music theory and analysis.
Set in the vibrant city of Liverpool, UK, the course will be held on 8th – 10th July 2024.
The 8th July is a special symposium day, featuring papers from leading scholars who have been at the forefront of the field since its inception in the 90s. Speakers include: Nicole Biamonte, John Covach
, Walt Everett, Allan Moore, Mark Spicer, with conribution from Philip Tagg.
Contributions further include: Alyssa Barna. Stephanie Doktor and Matt
BaileyShea.
While the course fee is covered by sponsorship, spaces are limited, and we
invite applications to be submitted online using this form. The deadline
for applications is May 10th. Applicants will be notified on May 17th.
Please note that travel, accommodation and subsidence must be covered by
delegates.
