CfA: IASPM XXI (Daegu) Proceedings

Deadline: March 31, 2023

For IASPM XXI (Daegu, July 5-9, 2022) participants,

I have postponed this announcement because of other commitments, but let’s *finally* get the ball rolling.

Background: at the IASPM Canberra conference there was discussion (and later within IASPM executive committee) that the Canberra conference proceedings could be published as a “raw” package, to bring the new ideas to IASPM community, but needing a less rigid process (basically without the now usual review process and publishing only selected papers). We want to be inclusive and focus on the variety of ideas and possibilities of awareness & networking. People seemed to be so pleased with this option, that I decided to offer a similar publishing opportunity for Daegu participants.

I offered that we could publish such proceedings volume at the IIPC Publication Series (ISSN 1797-318X, online): https://iipcblog.wordpress.com/publications/

What’s different this time? We have actually committed for this whole series to have a peer review. This means that there will be comments for each participant. I will organize that.

This would require from those wishing to take part:
Send me your text as docx or rtf-file. Keep it short, in your original text length, basically the 20 minute paper that you presented. If you want to write a full book chapter or a longer research article (you already might have), please offer it elsewhere. Please ask separately about the images, if you have many (use 300 dpi jpg), and do not embed them directly to the document.

Referencing: MLA. Bibliography at the end. Avoid endnotes, this makes my work on layout much faster.

Deadline: Friday March 31, 2023. Feel free to send your contribution faster. The comments will come within April, and then we want the final version returned by Friday 19 May.

I plan this to be out by the next IASPM conference at Minneapolis, USA.

Kind Regards,
Kimi (IASPM Web/Publications)
