We are delighted to announce that our 2022 Song, Stage and Screen conference: SSS XVI: “Pluralities: Performances, Practices and Participatory Cultures“, will be held virtually, ONLINE, from June 29 – July 1, 2022, starting at 3 p.m. BST (British Summer Time).
Responding to many of the ideas and conversations that arose from 2021’s virtual ‘Song, Stage and Screen’ conference hosted in Austria, this conference invites submissions that consider the pluralities of musical theatre.
In response to the last two years of disruption, and given the current circulation of new variants, we have also taken the decision to once again hold a virtual conference, to ensure we facilitate maximum opportunities for participation, including for those who cannot travel due to ongoing public health restrictions, personal or family circumstances, constraints around institutional funding, or those who are working to be more environmentally aware.
Any queries or questions may be sent to the convenors, Dr Ben Macpherson (ben.macpherson[at]port.ac[dot]uk); Dr Phoebe Rumsey (phoebe.rumsey[at]port.ac[dot]uk) or Professor George Burrows (george.burrows[at]port.ac[dot]uk).
