start immediately, fixed term for 4 years.

Your tasks:

Design and deliver teaching for courses (3 lecturing hours per Week (SWS)) in cultural studies (Kulturwissenschaften) for both BA- and MA-degrees at both the faculty and as part of the subject-overarching programme of study at Leuphana University Lüneburg
Working towards further academic qualification (second book or Habilitation)
Research-focused work on setting up the cluster "Critique of the University: academic and other modes of knowledge production", including related event organization
Contribute to the establishment of the centre "Critique of the Present" (Kritik der Gegenwart)

Your profile:

Completed academic university degree
Above-average PhD for teaching and research in cultural studies/Kulturwissenschaften and media studies (completed by starting date)
Broad knowledge of critical theories, ideally including expertise in critique and crisis of the (globalised) university and the political economy and ecology of knowledge production, including decolonial perspectives and the politics of diversity
Experience in teaching relevant subjects and excellent pedagogical-didactic abilities
Experience in organizing academic events
