Job: Lecturer in Musicology, Huddersfield

The University is seeking to appoint a fixed-term, 0.75FTE lecturer in Musicology. The post is being created to cover duties for a current permanent member of staff to focus on a period of more intensive research.

The successful applicant will join a dynamic and energetic team, dedicated to providing high quality teaching and research. For the purposes of this post, musicology would be defined broadly and would be likely to include:

•Undergraduate teaching: contributions to Introduction to Music Research; Popular Music Studies; Final Year Projects; and Music, Gender and Identity.

•Postgraduate teaching: contributions to departmental research colloquia and research student training sessions.The post-holder would also be required undertake administrative and pastoral support:

•Personal academic tutoring of undergraduate students; participation in recruitment and outreach activities; module leadership
