The Music Department at KCL seeks to appoint an ethnomusicologist at lecturer level with proven ability to teach, supervise and assess our BMus and MMus programmes and conduct high-quality original research. Applicants with expertise in one or more world regions at both undergraduate and Masters level are invited to apply. The successful candidate will be able, in addition, to contribute to the teaching of emerging worlds of digital music culture and/or music industry research.

The appointed candidate will be an excellent teacher who can develop and deliver teaching for core modules at undergraduate and taught postgraduate level, as well as contributing to the Department's suite of optional modules.

Finally, the appointee is expected to have the commitment and necessary competences to participate actively in the Department's everyday administrative functions.

This post will be offered on a fixed-term contract for 3 years.

This is a full time post - 100% full time equivalent.

The selection process will include a panel interview.
