The School of Music, Australian National University (Canberra), will host a study day on Current Work in Film Music / Sound Studies on Saturday 9 May this year. The program will feature keynote talks by James Wierzbicki (University of Sydney) and Philip Brophy (Melbourne), and a panel discussion chaired by Peter Tregear (ANU).

This study day, which we hope will be the first of an ongoing series of such events, will provide a forum not only for finished research, but also for work in progress, and postgraduate students are particularly encouraged to participate.

Proposals for 15-minute papers that address any aspect of this research field are now invited.

Please submit abstracts of no more than 200 words to Liz Kertesz (email: ekertesz -at- unimelb.edu.au) by Monday 9 March 2015. Acceptance of papers will be advised by Monday 23 March.
