About the role:
The Faculty of Arts, Law and Social Sciences is home to first class teaching and research across a wide range of both traditional and contemporary disciplines. All of our courses are committed to the mutual reinforcement of theory and practice, and are grounded in our academics’ innovative and internationally recognised research. Building on sustained growth in student numbers, and expanding into new curriculum areas, the Faculty now seeks to appoint a number of outstanding academics to join our team.
We are seeking a committed and dedicated Lecturer in Popular Music, with a specialism in popular music performance and composition, to join the staff team within the Department of Music and Performing Arts.
With a PhD or Professional Doctorate (or nearing completion) you will have proven experience in teaching popular music at undergraduate level. You will play a significant role in the delivery of the Popular Music course whilst contributing to and collaborating with the wider Music and Performing Arts team. With a research profile commensurate with the stage of your career, you will make a contribution to the thriving research profile of the group, including income generation.
