September 26th/27th, 2014 – Hochschulzentrum am Horn, Weimar
We would like to cordially invite you to the International Research Workshop »The Jazzomat Research Project: Issues, Applications and Perspectives for Computational Methods in Music Research« which will take place September 26th/27th in the Department of Musicology Weimar-Jena at The Liszt School of Music in Weimar.
The workshop is part of the three-year research project »Melodic and rhythmic features of jazz improvisation. Computer-based analysis of monophonic jazz solos«, funded by German Research Foundation.
For workshop programme and abstracts see:
Additionally, there are new releases of MeloSpySuite (v1.1) including thoroughly revised and extended features, and the WeimarJazzDatabase (V0.91) including 38 new solo transcriptions is available for download, see: jazzomat.hfm-weimar.de/download/
The next release (scheduled for end of July, or start of August) will probably contain a graphical user interface (GUI) for MeloSpySuite and more solos.
