Announcing a new Music Lecturer position at the University of California, Merced:

The School of Social Sciences, Humanities and Arts is seeking an ethnomusicologist or popular music scholar for a non-tenure-track Lecturer position for Fall 2014 and Spring 2015. All candidates should demonstrate a knowledge of current literature and critical theories.

Courses being offered may include: Meaning in Music; Topics in Music Studies (open topic); and Critical Popular Music Studies.

Qualifications: MA and/or PhD and a minimum of three years experience teaching at the college or university level are required.
Must be able to provide a record of excellence in teaching upon request.

Salary: Based on an annual full time rate of $47,584
