CfA: ASEAN Music Journal

Manuscript submissions are being accepted the ASEAN Music Journal (AMJ). This new annual refereed journal publishes scholarly reports that enhance knowledge regarding the teaching and learning of music with a special interest toward an international constituency and of interest and relevance to the international community.

The ASEAN Music Journal (AMJ) serves as a vehicle for the dissemination of research and practice related to a wide variety of music disciplines and their relevance to ASEAN nations. The content of this publication highlights topics of general interest for music teaching, learning, and performance as well as the historical and developmental aspects of music in Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam. AMJ is the prime medium for dialogue and exchange between music researchers interested in Southeast Asia as well as its place in the world forum. Issues of the publication focusing on specific topics may be developed if the need arises.

ASEAN Music Journal (AMJ) is an „online first“ journal with forthcoming articles published online prior to print. There will be one issue per year with a limited printing of hardcopies each annum.

AMJ seeks articles addressing or related to any of the following topics:

  • Music and Technology
